Tulasi Foundation

A non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting orphaned children, neglected elders, and individuals with mental or physical health challenges through need-based care and assistance.

people helped

We have supported children, mentally and physically unwell men, women and elders, by either rehabilitating and reinstating them to their families, if possible, or by providing a safe and sound environment to thrive.

Hope Lives Here

We believe no one deserves to be forgotten. We support orphaned children, neglected elders, and those suffering in silence – from abuse, disability, or loss. Despite limited resources, our commitment to care, serve, and restore dignity remains strong.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to uplifting Nepal’s most vulnerable population – orphans, the elderly, those with health challenges, and survivors of trauma. Through shelter, care, and empowerment, we work to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity.

Tulasalaya Ashram

Tulasalaya was established in mid-2020, right after the COVID-19 outbreak to provide refuge and support to those in need who were directly and indirectly affected by the deadly pandemic. Those included children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, survivors of domestic violence, and those facing mental health challenges.

Sponsor A Child

At Tulasalaya, 41 children from diverse age groups currently call our sanctuary their home. Each of these children has a unique story — some have lost their parents, others were rescued from abuse, neglect, or crisis. While we’ve been able to provide them with food, shelter, and care, offering quality education to all remains one of our greatest challenges.

Support Us Today

Our residents, regardless of age, have endured a lifetime of hardships. We are determined to provide them with an easy, comfortable and empowering life for the future,  nevertheless their past. Help us achieve that goal.
